Launching a first-time festival

From a strategic point of view, nothing drives us quite like bringing people together and supporting communities, whether that’s internationally or locally. When Nunfest approached us to help them create a strong brand presence for their very first festival in London, we were excited to help.

At the outset, the team explained that with music being such a powerful force for bringing people together, the festival aimed to encourage people from different social and ethnic backgrounds to mingle... to go to a new venue and perhaps try a style of music they hadn’t listened to before. They also wanted to make people even more proud to call Nunhead home.

We created bold branding for the event, using a bright colour palette and taking inspiration from the painted railway sign at Nunhead station - keeping it local and capturing community spirit.

This approach threaded through our social media post styling, promo posters and event merchandise, all of which helped to drive awareness and get people talking about Nunhead and the festival before the event. It encouraged high footfall on the day as well, with busy venues full of people of all ages and backgrounds enjoying diverse music in safe, welcoming and accessible spaces. Happy venue owners and traders had a bumper day too!
